Welcome to ProxiMail(TM) 1.0 Beta 2
===============================

Thank you for downloading ProxiMail for PalmOS(TM).

ProxiMail, together with the PalmOS Mail application and an internet
connection, allows users to send and retrieve email while away
from laptop or desktop computers.

WARNING: ProxiMail is currently in beta release. Beta release software
typically means that the product is being made available to a select
group of people for the expressed purpose of uncovering minor defects
in the software prior to a full, supported product release.

ProxiMail, in its current beta release state, is not guaranteed to do
anything. It is highly recommended that users create a backup copy
of their PalmOS device prior to installing any new beta software.

Configuring ProxiMail
=====================

Documentation for configuring ProxiMail is included in this archive
under help/index.html and is available through the world wide web at
http://www.proxinet.com/proximail/

Known problems in this beta release
===================================

ProxiMail works well with regular POP3 (in.pop3d) and IMAP servers.
However, there was anomalous behavior when using the POP3 server that
is distributed with the Pine mail reader (ipop3d). ProxiNet does not
recommend that ProxiMail be used with the ipop3d server at this time.
